French Bread Crab Dip

on

Oh. My. Word. One of my favorite things about Pampered Chef is trying new appetizer recipes that hostesses concoct. I was at a Pampered Chef show recently and the hostess had this unbelievable crab dip that I can't stop thinking about. It is a hollowed out loaf of French bread with heavenly filling and covered in cheese. She wrapped it in tinfoil and when it came out the entire loaf was gone in a few minutes.. SO GOOD! I finally received the recipe from her and here it is! .. Although not the healthiest recipe it is DAMN GOOD.
Ingredients:
Large loaf of French Bread unsliced and hollowed out (save lid). Save pieces of bread from inside and cup up for dipping
2 - 8 oz. pkgs. cream cheese
1 can crab meat (4 oz.)
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1/2 cup chopped bacon bits
1 cup Mayonnaise
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
2 Tbs. dill weed
Directions:
Cream Mayonnaise and cream cheese together and add remaining ingredients except 1/2 cup cheese. Place in hollowed loaf and top with reserved cheese. Place lid on top and wrap entire loaf in foil. Bake at 350 for 2 hours.
