Horsting's Farm, BC

on

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a good weekend. James and I traveled to BC for the final wedding of 2010 and on the way stopped at one of my favorite places on the drive from Calgary to Williams Lake, BC: Horsting's Farm! This is a family run farm with over 80 acres near Cache Creek, BC. We like to stop here for the homemade soups and sandwiches for lunch and normally pick up a pie- they are so good! I love driving into this farm and seeing all the orchards and flowers. It is gorgeous!
There is also a gift shop area that has everything from unique gifts to homemade honey to homemade canning. YUM!
They have baskets full of fresh produce and a huge cooler of fruits and veggies to choose from
Pies galore!
Lots of sweet treats.. Our favorite are the cinnamon buns
Cream of Cauliflower soup and then you fill out these little sandwich forms and choose a type of homemade bread, meat, veggies and sauces... SO GOOD!
Doesn't look all that appetizing but it was so yummy.. The bread is so fresh that it was SO soft and still warm!
James always gets his sandwiches on their "herbed bun" which are homemade daily. This is chicken salad.
