World Famous CHEESE BISCUITS!

I was just away at a family reunion on Gabriola Island off the coast of Nanaimo, BC and my husband's family ALWAYS makes these AMAZING cheese biscuits when they get together. The best part is that we all make them together and they are always eaten up before they even cool off..They are best served with a liberal amount of butter and some good quality honey!!! Homemade jam also tastes delicious on these little gems.


2 cups flour
1 tbs. Sugar
1 tbs. Baking powder
1/2 tsp baking solda
1/2 tsp salt

1/4 cup shortening
1 cup cheese
1 egg & milk to equal one cup

Combine dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Add cheese. Add wet
ingredients. Mix & kneed. Bake @ 425 for 12 minutes
