Basil Mushroom Caps


I made these delicious, bite-sized appetizers for a family BBQ yesterday and they were a huge hit! Thanks so much to Connie for the recipe! 


1/2pkg frozen puff pastry
1tsp butter or marg
3cups mushrooms cut into quarters
1small onion diced
2 cloves garlic minced
2tbsp grated parm cheese
1tbsp chopped basil or 1tsp dry basil


Thaw pastry at room temp. Preheat oven at 4oo

Heat butter in skillet, add mushrooms, onion garlic and cook until tender + liquid evaporates.

Remove from heat. Stir in cheese and basil. unfold pastry sheet on lightly floured surface. Roll into rectangle and cut into 20 (3') squares. Press squares into bottoms of mini muffin pan cups. Place about 1 tbsp filling in center of each.
Bake 15min or until golden. garnish with basil or cheese of preference.
